– 3 liters of water
– 2-3 cloves of garlic
– 1-2 tablespoons ginger (fresh, finely chopped or grated)
– 1 tablespoon black pepper
– 2 carrots (peeled and cut in half)
– 1 cup celery leaves
– 1/4 onion
– 1 large sprig of rosemary
– 1 tablespoon thyme
– 1 tablespoon sage
– Juice half a lemon
All the ingredients (except lemon juice), put in a large pot with a tight lid. Let it cook until it boils and then reduce to low heat. Let simmer covered for about an hour.
